Club rides

During the summer months we offer a coached hill reps session most Tuesday nights. This session is open to all members of all abilities.

From May through to September, on the first Tuesday of the month we run a 10 mile TT (Time Trial) race at Silverknowes meeting at golf club to start at 1900 and third Tuesday of the month we also run a K/QOM (King or Queen of the mountain) at Arthur’s seat starting at barrier finishing at car park at top, again same time.

Between October and April, Turbo sessions running at PedalHouse are open to all members. Sessions run from every Tuesday from XX.XX until XX.XX. Please arrive by XX.XX to set up your bike on the turbo and be ready to start on time. The sessions are booked in blocks of XX at a cost of £XX.00 per person.

The Saturday session runs all year round accept when the weather prevents us! Depending on numbers we may split into groups by ability, otherwise we ride as a bunch and the ride leader ensures no one gets left behind. The ride leaves from the Dalkeith High School front entrance and typically takes 2 – 2.5 hours.

We encourage club members to organise and invite others via a facebook event or the email distribution list.

Spin Session at Pedal House

About the sessions

We have trained with Hugh and other instructors at Pedal House for a number of winters now and they have reopened in a new city centre location off Lothian Road (5-6 Conference Square, EH3 8RA)

Our class size is limited to 13 people at the moment, they are aiming to have more bikes soon, however you can expect a high quality, motivational session which will help keep those cycling legs in shape over the dark winter months.

The bikes are all new with a power reading as well as the usual cadence monitor, we tested a couple of these in the last sessions and found them good to work with.

Time

18.50 – 19.50

Location

Pedal House, 5-6 Conference Square, Edinburgh, EH3 8RA

Booking

We will be kicking off at 6:50 on Tuesday 2 November. Booking here is essential and the cost is £30 per block of 4 sessions (normal price is £10 per session). We would like to get a group to commit to 4 weeks at a time, however we will take individual bookings if we cannot fill all the bikes.

IMPORTANT: Rather than booking on this page, please book and pay through the shop HERE.
