Next Wednesdays swim at 6:30 will be in open water , there will be no pool swim so you will need a wet suit. We will use David Lloyds facilities in the usual way; their car parking, changing room, showers and their gym to stretch off after the run, which will follow the swim. Tides in the Forth will be mid way between high and low water so ingress and egress will involve some picking our way across the break water . This is gently contoured and should pose no difficulty. This spot is used regularly by Newhaven Harbour Triathletes for their open water swims. There will be two coaches. The coaches will look out for your safety but it’s a question of consenting adults looking out for one another. It will help if people can wear highly visible caps, let someone know if they leave the water, or if they have had enough , are cold , spooked or in any discomfort. Shouting for the joy of it will be permitted. Comments (1) | Add to favourites (0) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 23 |

Just another reminder that as from this Wed we will swim first, at 6:30 and run after. This is a response to problems with cramp. If you want to join us for the run only I would guess the runners will leave any time after 7:45. We’ll see how this goes , if we don’t like it we’ll change back .
