Lochore Meadows Sprint Tri is the next designated target race 20th July : Crackin' race with a superb 750M ow out'n'back swim.

This is an ideal starter for anyone new to the OW scene, entries are on www.entrycentral.com

It's also a good test for all you long distance fella's.

Don't forget "Edinburgh Triathletes" in the Club Name section of the form....

August 16th we're all off again; This time to Aberfeldy.

It's the Scottish Middle Distance Championship, but don't let that put you off if you don't do "long". Get an ET Team together and have a blast round at your preferred discipline. Entry forms are at  http://www.liveactive.co.uk/events-arc-middle.htm

News From Vancouver
Written by Francesca Osowska
Sunday, 08 June 2008
Well done to the ETs who battled with some tough conditions in Vancouver.  In the sprint race (held on Friday) many athletes finished with hypothermia.  On Saturday, it appears that things weren't much better with the water temperature a chilly 11 degrees and 26 mile an hour winds.  Despite this, Kirsten Sinclair finished in 2:23:35.07 (49th in her age group).  However, conditions worsened and for the later female age groups and all men, the event was changed to a duathlon.  Doug Steele finished in 1:53:00.11 (35th in his age group) with Paul Masterton not far behind 1:56:40.91 (52nd in the same age group).  If there were other ETs out there, please identify yourselves!  Hope you have enjoyed the post-race celebrations and look forward to reading the results in Tribull.

Cool evening and excellent effort from all tonight.

2mins covered the field at the end , so the handicaps were fair. Keep your times and we'll do it again next month.

Well Done One & All.

See y'all next Tuesday for some Open Water Action in Musselburgh.

Jim
