Edinburgh Triathletes exists to provide an open, welcoming and inclusive training and social environment for triathletes and swim, bike, run participants of all abilities. It’s one of the largest, friendliest and most successful triathlon clubs in Scotland. Our members range in ability from beginners to age-group world champions, and participate in all triathlon distances as well as the many variations of swim, bike, run multi-sport events which now exist. We were the Scottish Club Champions of 2000-2002, 2004-2007 and 2009.
The mainstay of the club is a weekly schedule of training sessions, run by our pool of excellent coaches. Regular swim, bike or run training sessions are complemented by seasonal or extra events which include a members’ aquathon, duathlon and swim gala; a monthly bike TT (time trial) and King/Queen of the Mountains competition; open water swimming, and transition practice. Each week, details of the schedule are added to the Calendar.
The club also facilitates access to other activities such as yoga, pilates, strength training, and winter spin classes; which are not included in the club membership fee but have discounted prices for members. Full details can be found here.
We hold regular social events and members often meet up casually after training sessions or events to refuel!
